Audi Motorsport Announces New R8 LMS GT3 Customer Racecar

Audi Motorsport has announced the new R8 LMS GT3 customer racecar. This car will be available in the autumn of 2009 and will eligible to compete as a customer car. This Audi factory racecar is powered by a 500 hp plus V10 engine for a proposed price of 262,000 Euro. Audi has indicated that up to 8 customer cars will compete during the 2009 season in several European race series and the 24 hour race at the Nurburgring. It is unclear whether this new car will be eligible to run in the GT2 class in the American LeMans Series or in the 24 Hours of LeMans.
