Girodisc 2-PC Rotor System for Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 & GT4 RS
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for both OEM steel and PCCB rotors. Many enthusiasts looking to reduce running costs choose to replace their OEM PCCB rotors with the Girodisc system aka "PCCB Iron Rotor Conversion", which can save tens of thousands of dollars in rotor replacement costs. These rotors require no modifications—simply bolt them onto your car, and they work seamlessly with the OEM calipers.
Please refer to the notes section below before checkout.
Girodisc rotor's central hat is made from high-quality U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. The disc is crafted from proprietary cast iron, poured and machined entirely in-house at Girodisc. They use a curved vane design, inspired by racing, which acts like a centrifugal pump to channel cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat are mounted with a floating system, secured by 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins made to our exact specifications and cadmium plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins handle braking loads while allowing the rotor and hat to float radially and axially.
They are held in place by class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers. To eliminate noise when cold, anti-noise spring washers are used on the rotor side, allowing for thermal expansion without the typical rattle of floating rotors. This design also helps the rotor self-center between the pads.
NOTES:
GT4 & GT4 RS PCCB to Girodisc 2-PC Rotor System:
You will need to use pads from a GT4 RS with factory steel rotors.
GT4 & GT4 RS OEM steel to Girodisc 2-PC Rotor System:
Replacement Pads
Caliper bolts:
It is highly recommended to replace the caliper bolts as they considered one time use by Porsche.
